Anushka Sharma was born on May 1, 1988, at Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh, India to Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka was born to a colonel who retired. and her mother is a housewife. Karnesh Sharma is her younger brother. Karnesh Sharma was a member of the Merchant Navy, and is now a producer of films. Anushka completed her studies at the Army School Bangalore. Since her debut as a model at Lakme Fashion Week Anushka did numerous campaigns for various brands, n she has done campaigns to promote the brand's Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry as well as Fiat Palio etc. Anushka Sharma, as well as her modelling career, joined an actor's school and started to audition for films. Anushka sharma began her film career in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She was in the film with Shah Rukh Khan. She took the time to study and was able to not take the test in impromptu. Then, she signed on for three movies with Yash Raj Films. She played the young wife of a man who was older in the movie (the exact same character that Shah Rukh Khan played). Anushka was in a movie named Band Baaja Baaraat, starring Ranveer, where she played an American Punjabi girl from middle class who sets up her wedding planning business. The movie received a great reception and was a huge success. Anushka completed her three-film deal with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
