Kristin Fischer will join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she's responsible covering everything from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the advent and growth of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts as well as a space enthusiast has spent her entire childhood within the space industry. She served for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Trump and Biden Administrations. While there, she also covered impeachment proceedings for President Trump as well as the 2020 presidential campaign, as well as two administration's attempts to control the spread of coronavirus. She traveled extensively with both the president and vice-president also included a trip exclusive to Afghanistan, which she took with Donald Trump.
